Our Copyright Commitment

5e Point Buy Calculator respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. We are committed to complying with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable copyright laws.

All rules content on this Site is written in our own words and does not reproduce verbatim text from any copyrighted publication. We explain D&D mechanics under the principles of fair use for educational and commentary purposes. Our content references WotC publications by title and page number for attribution without reproduction.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content on this Site infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA takedown notice containing the following information:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (URL of the specific page)
  4. Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party: name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed

Submit DMCA notices through our contact form with "DMCA Notice" as the subject. We respond to valid DMCA notices within 5 business days.

Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe your content was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed and the location where the material appeared before it was removed
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if outside the US, to any judicial district in which we may be found

Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA, we maintain a policy of terminating accounts or blocking access for users who are repeat copyright infringers, in appropriate circumstances.
